Section 41
Sanitation and Garbage Management
: (1) In order to control the adverse effects caused or caused by environmental pollution and garbage on human health, the Government of Nepal may make necessary standards according to the prevailing federal law.
(2) The government of Nepal will make necessary standards for the collection, reuse, processing, disposal and regulation of medical waste.
(3) It shall be the duty of the provincial and local levels to comply with the standards under sub-sections (1) and (2).
(4) Every health institution shall separate and manage non-hazardous and hazardous waste according to the prescribed standards.
(5) Every health institution shall provide clean drinking water according to the prescribed standards to the service providers.
